At a Ooronial enquiry held at Fielding on Friday into the recent fire at the Wesleyan Church, the jury returned a veidict of arson by some person unknown. The divorce Court at Wellington on Friday granted applicaiions for dissolution of marriage brought by Minnie Barrie petitioner, and James Barrie respondent, and George Webster petitioner, and Mary ebater respondent.

Probate was granted at Wellington on Friday of the will of the late Jacob Joseph. Included in the legacies are two scholarships of L6O per annum each at the Victoria College, L4OCO for the erec tion of a building in London to be called in Mr Joseph's name,.and be used for the relief of indigent blind of the Jewish ptrsuasion, £IOOO to the funds of the Wellington Synagogue to be invested,,and the income derived to be paid to the .debrew minister for the time being stationed there.
The new motor coach that is running on the London South Western railway between Havant and Fratton, can get up a speed of 30 miles an hour in 30 seconds from starting, Which is mora than the ordinary full-grown locomotive can do. After a lecture at Mastorton by Mr Cameron, Produce Commissioner, on inday, a resolution was passed in support of the Premier's meat distributing scheme. In a test case against a builder at Mas? terton, the S.&J. decided the Health Officer could not over ride the bye-laws of the Borough, he having authorised a cess pit to be out in without an authority from the Borough. A nominal fine was inflicted. ?
