WELLINGTON v. SOUTHLAND, Pffit PKEBB ASSOCIATION, Invbboaeqill, September 16, The Wellington v. Southland match was played in fresh cross winds, which made the play most uninteresting. The game was won by the visitors by 8 to 6. There was no score in the first spell, but three minutes after resuming Roberts scored for Wellington, the try being converted. Later, Reid, Southland, by a great run, scored twice, but no goals resulted, Then Gray got a try f r the visitors, and this closed the scoring. The game was remarkable for lines out and sorums innumerable, caused by the wind,
