Pstgrodoate research was as essential as battleships to the Constitution; a Scientific National Council was hs essential for industrial commercial progress as national defence for national safety.
Mr A, J. Balfour will be the next President. The S*nth African States contribute £•000 towards holding the 1905 meeting in S uth Africa. The Times says Sir Norman Lockyer overstated an excellent case. No Government could submit a scheme of inch proportions, but Sir Norman Lockyer's protest against existing conditions will initiate an important movement for the increase of national scientific training.
