On the motion of M;s Newman, seconded by Miss Saait'", \'- was decided that the Mayoress; Jltsdamea Richards, O'Driscoll, E. M. Smith, 3. Hill, Ryan, Dockrill, R. Jury, S. Fercy Smith, Newman, and Messenger, and Misses Ahier, Devenish, and Smith be a committee, with power to add to their number, to carry out the U o, in conjunction with the members of the Board, Miss Ahier proposed that the . Mayoress be President of the L-.dies' Committee. This was seconded by Miss Smith and carried, as was also a motion proposed by the Mayoress and seconded by Mrs E. M. Smith, that Miss Ahier be secretary to the Ladies' Committee, It was decided that the Ladies' Committee meet at 3.30 on Thursday week in the Mayor's parlour. With such a Committee she success cf the f*te is already assured,
