CONFERS*|OB WITH DH. PARKIN. FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, September 4. The Conference of Educational Representatives with Dr Parkin, representing the trustees of the Rhodes' scholarships, was opened today, Sir Robert Stout, presiding. The Chairman oppressed regrot that the pro fessorial boards were not represented on the Coiiferer.ee. Dr Parkin explained that the chief prints upon which Rhodes' trustees wanted advice were the method of selecting scholars, and the body to be entrusted with the selection, age limits of candidates, length of residence in the colony bcfoiv) being entitled to apply for a scholarship, possibility of adhering closely to tha suggestion of Mr Rhodes in the selectiou of scholars, and the course of study at Oxford whioh will ba reoommended to the Rhodes scholars.
