FOOTBALL.
Mr Ahndt, Secretary of the Tarapaki Rugby UuioD, received on Wednesday numerous congratulatory messages on the victory ovar Auckland. Amongst others were wires from the Hawke's B-iy team, Mr 0. E, Major, and Mr Nathan (Christchurcb.) Mr Major says : " It is a most satisfactory clincher to the carping and ignorant of Taranaki football." Mr Nathan winds up with " Bill Bai'ey for ever."
