The best plan he eould adopt I wss to replace himself on a pedestal far 1 above those who attacked him, and leave the people of the colony to say whether his sons and daughters, eduea- | fiooally equipped as rh.'y were, should ba barred the same privileges as the sons and daughters of others in regard to tee Civil Service. After further lengthy debate the Bill passed its final stages, and the House rose 2.55 a.m.
