WHANGAMOMONA.
(Feom our Own Ookbespondent.) A long period of hravy rains has rendered the unmetalltd portions of our roads werte than in any previous year. This is notably the case between the school and the Co-operative Factory. As the milking season will soon commence the outlook is serious even for sledging. However we expect metalling in the summer. Mr T. Davis has enlarged his factory and will have a great increase of milk to deal with next season. ! Mr A. G. Curie has parted with tha freehold portion of his property to Mr E. McOluggage. Mr Brooking has sold the sawmill to Mr Joe McOluggage. Mr Hodaer'a new house is going ahead. The Primitive Methodists have changed their meeting place from tho school to the Kohuratahi Hall. Rev. J. Harris has also chacged his centre |to Strathmore, thus bringing geographical atid eoclesiastical arrangements into unison. On Friday last Constable Bleasel arrested a young man here charged with a criminal assault.
