PER PBBBS ASSOCIATION, Hamilton, August 28. j Tbe hearing of the King Country , sly-grog cases is proceeding at Te Awamutu. John He it (four obarges), Mrs Hetit (three), Joseph Powell (three), residents of Te Kuiti, and George Heritage, of I'aumaranui (two charges), were committed for trial. A.! Powell, W. Faitclough, Kicbard Mitchell, and H. Oavinagh (two charges each) pleaded guilty, sentence being deferred. Mary Caples (two charg's) was convioted and discharged. In the cases of Patrick MoKewer and Henry Silvius (six charges) evidence was heard and decision reserved. All the informations were laid by F. M. Edwards and E. B, Foot.
