VISIT OF BISHOP NELIGAN.

Thb services on Sunday at St Mary's were very largely attended. At the close of the morning (service an unusually largo number partook of Communion, His Lordship the Bishop assisted by the Revs, Evans and Reeve officiating. At 3 p.m. a Confirmation service was held, when over 100 youcg people of both sfxes were confirmed. The church was densely picked, and the whole serviae was most solamn and impressive, Bi;h"p Neligan giving mest and impressive addresses bath before and after the confirmation. In the fcvening there was Bgain a crowded church, and the service was a very interesting one, the musical portion being very pleasing, the choir, which wasin full force, rendering special hymns and anthems bo well that Bis Loadship referred to their efforts in! most complimentary terms. At both j morning and evening services Bishop Neligan preached most poweiful dis-j coarse?, which were heartily ei joy. d, while his earnestnes", practical Onistianity and strength greatly irtpreesed his hearers.

Biehcp Neligan and Archdeacon Cole were present at early Communion at Te Henui Church on Surd iy. The Bishop's movements during the remainder cf his visit appear elsewhere.

Dr, Neligan is much pleased with wh*t he has seen of Taranaki, and much impressed with the earnestness of the church paople and tho large attendance at the various services tince his arrival.
