RAILWAY TIME-TABLE.
The committee appointed at the last meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, Messrs. Bewby (chairman), Berry, Fraser, George ar.d Johns, waited ou Mr Whitcombe, Railway Traffic Manager, on Tuesday, and had an informal ohat about tha proposed alterations in the railway time-t-ible. Mr WhHeomhe reminded those who had previously waited on him that be h d told them (hitthe al'eration would L; ; i übmitted to the Chamber cf Commerce before being given effect to. He indicated that Ihe present trains would 'remain, but that the alteration would be in tho direction of doing away with the present mid-day mixed goods and passenger train and running a train through to Wanganui, leavicg New Plymouth about 1.30 and arriving in Wanganui some time after 9 p.m. and a separate goods train would leave New Plymouth before mid day.
