A deputation consisting of Meters Maxwell, McLean, Hornby and Hind, have arrived in Wellington for th purpose of opposing »he New Plymouth Harbour Board's Empowering Bill. They have arranged to interview the : Premier to-day at three o'clock, when they will state their objections to the measure. Mr E. M. Smith, member | for Taranaki, who is actively supporting the Bill, will also be present at the interview and will take the opposite side to the deputation and state his side of the question. The Bill proposes to authorise the Harbour Boat dl t j raise a loan not exceeding £160,000, but before raising the loan the coDseot of the ratepayers must firat be obtained,
