Thore was only a moderate ' audience, due probably to other attrac- . tions in the town that eveniog, Ths . piece was oo the whole acted and staged very creditably, and though some of , the performers at first exhibited a little ) excusable nervousness, this soon wore j off, and each succeeding act was better played than its predecessor, Owing to other demands on our space we are L unable to particularise, but all the ( members of the Company are fairly , entitled to a word of praise, while Miss I N. Jury and Messrs L. L. Smith and I T. L. Buxton proved they were qualified to rank among professionals. The audience appeared to enj >y tho per- , formmco, so that the Compiny should , be satisfied with their initial efforts to . please the public.
