The report was heard 70 miles away, No one was killed, Received 10.11.48 p.m. Losddj}, August 10. A boat disaster occurred at Brightlings a. Eleven stokers and others were returning to the yacht Lorena in a ferry boat, capable of holding fire. It capsiz id, and nine were drowned. Received 10, 10.21 p.m. Nbw'Yobe, August 10. Daring a baseball match at Philadelphia, an elevated plank walk crowded wi h spec at ore collapsed, and four wan killed and 150 injured, 12 fatally. I Hamilton, August 10.
Before the inquest on Riobard Bishop, who was found dead in a cottage at Hamilton, the jury viewed the body, which bad begun to decompose. The cottage was unsanitary and unfit for habitation. On the advice of * m dictl man, the jury and the Mayor, who was also pteeent, concurring, the Ooroner gava the necessary authority to fire the dwelling and cremate the body. Deceased was last seen alive on Wednesday. The medical evidenced showed that deoeasad suffereed from an internal cancer, and died from exhaustion. The jury brought in a verdict accordingly,
