BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The Reserves Committee reported recommending: That the Borough Engineer have the trees on Fort Niger ttonded to; that 250 native trees be ordered from the Morshead Nursery Company, prvided a guarantee can be c btained as to the trues growing; that
a committee, consisting of His Worship ! he Mayor, Ore. Brooking, Oollis, Wood, i;nd Smi'h be appointed to report on tho advis»t>ili'.y of acquiring property and diverting the Huatoki near the < larrington-road entrance ; that the Volunteer officers be granted the use of the Council Chamber from 7 to 9.30 p.m. every Thursday evening until 18th.

Brooking's application for permission to erect a tool shed in the Cemetery grounds be deferred until the Committee have an opportunity of viewing the site; that upon the Borough solictors reporting that all papers are in order and all rents and costs paid, leave be granted to John Butler to grant an under-lease of lots 5 and 5, blook 3, Ngiire S.D.— Adopted.
