PRESENTATION.
On Saturday the clerical staff of the S.M. Court made a presentation to Mr Holmes, Olerk of the Court, who is bing transferred to Wellington. Tha presentation, which took t'"e form of a silver cigarette case, suitably iDScrib •d, was mude by Mr Pipe, the senior officer on the staff, who m<de a few nicely worded remark?, iu the course of which he said while thay all congratulated Mr Holmes on his well-deßerved pro motion, they were sorry to lose him, and hive to break off those friendly relations which had so long existed between Mr Holmes and the rest of the staff. They om and all wished him a successful and prosperous career.
