LYNCHING A NEGRO.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION,
New York, July 27. A negro at Denville, lllinoip, shot a white man dead. Ho was arrested, but the mob broke into the gaol, trampled the negro to dea'h, and burnt and mutila'ed the bedy. The mob also trie! to 1/; eh a second negro prisoner, bu 1 ; the police fired on them, wounding several fatally.
