ALLEGED PILFERING AT A FIRE.
Per Pi ess Assoaation. Napieb, July 24. A member of the Napier Fire Police mi charged this morcing with pilfering at the fire on Sunday nigh', and another member was charged with aiding and abetting. The case wes d.'emissed, the Justices expressing the opinion that although there appeared to have been carelessness on th-~ patt of the fire police there was not sufficient ' evidence of a felonious indent ta secure • conviction.
