In the charge of insubordination against the sailors of an American barque, the Master stated that the vessel did not leak in smooth water, bat made three to 12 ioch<s when loaded. She experienced a gale after leaving N«--c =i'le f but the water was sever more than 17 inches, and a steam pump kept that under. The crew demanded that the should proceed to the Dearest port, and stated that the r*?s were leaving the hold. The vessel was leaking 3| to 4 inches an hour in smooth water. In the harbour 1000 tons of coil were discharged on the recommendation of the surveyors.
