Wahgahui, July 21. The sheep returns for the district comprised between Rangitikei and Mokau rivers show a decte si of 333,291 competed with last year. Wanganui district shows a decrease of 67,000, the biggf a*, deficiercy ; Hawera, 50,000; Straford, 35,000; Patea, 32,000; Rangiiksi, 29,000. The decrease is due largely to settlers turning their attention to dairying.
