KOI.IP3E STAKES, WINNER BOLD FOR £21,000. FBB PUESS ASSOCIATION. London, July 18. At the Sandown Park meeting the Eclipse Stakes resulted:—Ard Patrick 1, Sceptre 2, Rock Sand 3. Won by a neck. Oriole and the Duke of Westminster also started. Received 19, 5.0 p.m. I London, July 18. Ard Patrick won by a neck, three lengths . separating second and third, Rock Sand was first away, but Oriole soon supplanted him, Ard Patrick and Sceptre being third and fourth. A mile from home Ard Patrick drew in front, followed by Rock Sand, with Sceptre on his quarter At the mile post Sceptre ran up second, and, pressing Aid Patrick, the pair fought out | a desperate finish. The Duke of West- ' minster was fourtd. Mr Oubbins has sold Ard Patrick to Count Darnsdorft' for twenty thousand guineas, retaining the right to run the' horse throughout the season:
