Ia connection with this matter, we understand a meeting of the Harbour Extension Committee was held a few days ago, at which Mr. A. Standish urged very strongly that some action be taken to put the full facts of the Board's case before the ratepayers before their minds are poisoned by the false statements in circulation. The o h'jr members of the Committee not agreeing with Mr. Standish, he resigned his seat on the Committer, and will probably t:iko some action himself in the matter of educating the | harbour ratepiyors,
