The nominations for the West Const Band Contest, Co be held in Hawera, are extremely good, comprising in all 250 bandsmen. The executive are perfecting all arrangements for the convenience of visitors, The grounds will he well provided with tents and marqufes, whilst the grandstand will accommodate 800 paople. Mr 0, 0. Truseell, of Nelson, has been appointed Judge, and the following offioars will .act as military judges : Lieut.-Oolouel (Watt, Oaptain Adjutant Taun'oo, Sargeant-Major Anderson.
