FSB FBESS ASSOCIATION. Wanoandi, July 9. In firing for the Government prize medal?, Sergeant J. H. Furnell, Wanganui Rifles, won the gold medal for the best shot in the North Island, with a score of 108 out of 120, 0. J. Holiord, Wellington, being second with 108. Sergeant Scott, Wanganui, also made 108, but was unplaced. Sergeant Hyde, Hawke's Bay, 108, was the best shot in the Wellington district. The highest scores throughout the the colony were made by Private Smith, Cromwell, and Sergeant Bentley, Ohristchurch, 110. ' I
