NB FRWS ASSOCIATION. Wakovhui, July 8. As the result of tryiag to (rain while in motion a Maori umd Poaha Ratana, about 30 yean of age and married, ws ki led at Turakina to-nigh*. The van passed right over the body which was horribly mangled. Du»din, July 8. Agnes Campbell, 21 years .of ago, who resides with her mother, met her death on Tuesday night under mysterious oircumstanoes. She left her home on Tuesday evening, apparently in her usual health, but did not return, md this afternoon her bady was found in n sitting position opposite the University Buildings. There were no marka of violence on the body, and nothing to .ccount for death. As where the body was fou--d ii a favourite place for persons to rest, it is probable it has been there all day. John Osmond, who «vae keeping oompasy with the girl, left his home on Tuesday evening and has not returned. It is siid he waa ■ieen with Miss Oampbell some tim* liter. A post mortem will be held. Lam. Osmond's hat was found on the for*shore this aftornoon and has been identified.
