NATIVE APPEAL COURT.
The Native Appellate Court opened a sitting at the Masonio Hall, Bobestreef, on Thursday afternoon. Chief Judge Davy with Judge Butler and Te Aohau Nikitiui as assessors, presiding. Mr W. E. Goffe acted as interpreter. The several matters to be dealt with are appeals from the decisions of the several Judges who sat here anil at Hawera duiiog the past eighteen months, It is ezpeoted the fitting will be completed early next week, when an adjournment will be nude to Hawera to hear the appeals in the Pariroa and other cases. o*ing to the short notice ot the sitting very few natives were present at the opening, but it is expected they will all be in attendanoe for Friday and Saturday.
