THEATRE ROYAL.
"OH! WHAT A NltfHT!' The attendance at the Theatre Boyal on Tuesday night, when the above play was staged by Mr Williamson's Company, was only moderate. It is possible that public feeling, relative to their experiences as <o admission on the previous night, was in some measure responsible for tbis. The piece presented to the audienca proved on tbe whole to be disappointing, and nothing but the exceptional abilities of til the parformer?, especially Me?srs Giddens and Jarman, saved the production from fallicg flat. There was laughter, it is true, and sometimes it was hearty and prolonged, especially in the last act, but tbis was produced by the actors thcmselvep, Mr Giddent' facial expressions being irresistible. Tbe scenery and dresses were of the best. A special feature was the unusually gcod playing of the orchestra.
