Oolmtl Owen is noa-in the distrio 1 , making arrjngemnti to hold a sehoal of instruc'ion for officers and noncoms, above the rank of corporal. It u proposed to make ihtee ceotrts, via,, Wanginu', Hiwer>, and New Plymouth, The school will te held once a week at 2 o'o'ock, (e-.ch Thur<sd*)), each lesson being about fivj h>urs' duration. pa'ses will be issued to candidate!*, and if they are unable to re'uru to their home the same evening, the following allowance will ba made: Officers 6s 6J, volunteers s>, providing they complete the course of instruction and pass the examination.
