TARANAKI COUNTY AND INGLEWOOD BOROUGH.

ADJUSTMENT OF ACCOUNTS. ! A MtETiKG of delegates was held on Thursday at the cflbo of the Taranaki County for the purprse cf adjusting accounts between the County and Inglewood Borough Council. Messrs Okey (chairman), Gray and Brown represented tho County, while Messrs Nicholls (Major). Bennett and Frank H. Brown acted for the Borough. I The following fioancial statement was taken as a basis for the settlement : Tabahaki Ootjhtt—lkglkwood Borough Sepabatios. Statements in connection with adjustment of accounts between the Taranaki Couuty and the Inglewood Borough. Taluation of the District is £1,533,758 Taranaki County .. .. £1,467,672 Ingluwood Borcugh .. £66,086 Liabilities of the County.. £6,459 Assets of the County .. £3,765 Contribution to the Taranaki Hospital Board for year to 31st March, 1994 £64215s Id Tbe following are the bridges on tie boundary line of the two districts: Earapiti on Junction Road £ urt Waioogora on Junction Road West Karapiti on Mountain Road. The following agreement was arrived at:— (1) Tbat the adjustment of accounts ba made in terms of "The Counties Ac f , 1886," and on a valuation basis. (2) That the combined committees find the amount payable by the Inglewood Borough to the Taranaki County, as share cf liabilities ever irate and share of hoepital and charitable aid contribution for year ending 31st March, 1904, amounts to £145; and recommend that such amount (£145) be payable by the Inglewocd Borough to the Taranaki County in settlement. (3) That the boundary bridge?, as above named, be under control cf tbe Taranaki County, Icglewood Boroogh to contribute one-half chare of ccat of repair?, and re-erec-tion of such brfdg-s ai may be needed in future, from da*» of separation.
