Per Press Association. Nipißk, June 10. ! The ceremocy of opening the new Spit post office, which will in future be known under the original name of Port Ahuriri, was performed this afternoon by the Postmaster General, Sir J. G. Ward, in the preseooe of the Mayor and Borough Councillors and a large assemblage of business people and residents, At the conclusion of the ceremony the Mayor presented Sir J. 0. Ward with a gold key as a memeuto of the oooasioD. The Postmaster-General was Afterwards entertained at tea by the Port resident*, and ia the evening was the guest of the Napier Rifles at a social.
