His Worship tha Mayor (Mr R. Oock) his received a telegram from Mr Poller, r.be unler-s'cretary in the Colonial Secretary's office stating that Empire Day (the 25ib May) will be observed as a whole holiday, and all Qovernmea' offices throughout tbe colony will be closed.
