A deputation of Friendly Sooietie:waited on the Premier relative to the alleged boycotting by the medical profession, arising oui of the establishment by tha Societies of a dispensary in Auckland. The P. ewer replied that he had a high option of th<* nndical profession, bu" tkojght that those responsible for the present position had reduced the status of the medical profession in the colony. A boycot was reprehensible, but he would like to hear the other side before coming to a dtfiiite conclusion. He reiterated his opinion that the Government should have some say in hospital management.
