NEW PLYMOUTH INVESTMENT AND LOAN SOCIETY.

» —-., — The 27th annual meeting of this Society was held on Tuesday evening, Mr J. B.Oonnett, in the absence of Mr H. Weston, being voted to the chair. The report, which showed tha Society , had had another successful year, was adopted. Meesrs Broking and W. Cottier were re-elected directors, Messrs McKellar and 0. F. Foote being appointed auditors. On the motion of the chairman a vote of sympathy with Mrs F. L. Webster and family was passed, the late Mr Webster having been connected with the Society ever sicca it was started up to the time of his death. The usual honorarium was voted to the directors, and a hearty vote of thanks accorded to the Secretary, M> 0. Bennell. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting.
