HOBPITAL BALL.
TO THE EDITOU. ! Sir,—l wish to draw attention to the advertisement in another column calling a metting of those willing to assist in making arrangements for the holding of a hospital ball for the purpose of rising funds for planting and beautifying the hospital grounds. The I Board and the Borough Council hava come to an amicable arrangement, whereby the Board take passess'on of «x sections, known as the hospital grounds, which were previously owned by the Borough Oouccil. In the lower portion of these grounds a sma'l lake, at trifling cost, could ba made. i may T ask, looks better than a little lake cradled in the little hills, in addition to being a place of great beauty ? And further, tha grounds about the Nurses' Home are being laid out and planted. I am conferring with Mr Green, of the Morehead Nursery, who has agreed to superintend the work, therefore .those persons assisting may feel assured the fund* will be properly and judiciously spent.—l am, etc., * G.Tisoh.
