FATIL ACCIDENT AT SENTRY HILL.
On Wednced-iy evening, between 8 and 9 o'clock, whil'i shifting a thrashing engioo at Mr F. Sampson's at Sentry Hill, Wi:liam R,bjrt Woods, enginedriver, residing at Hobson-street, New Plymouth, somJiow got between the engine ai.d combine, and was 8) badly crushed in the cheat that, after lingering a short he expired.- Dr. Walker was at once summoned, but the suff ret' hud passsd away b.fjre tho doctor arrived. It nppaars the work was b iog carried cut by moonlight, but how dtceased managed to gei into such a dangerous position we were unable to ascertain. Tne body is lying at Mr Simpson's ato;c, and in inquest will ba held there to-day at 3 p.m. It will ba remembered that deceased was io company with the late P. George when the latter was thrown from his bicycle and killed whilst on the way to work-at Sentry Hill.
