It W'is first produced in Australia by Holloway's Dramatic Oompany, with the celebrated Es9ie Jenyf.s in the leiding part as Ga'oiielle de Mpray. Shor ly afterwards Mr Charlie Taylor purchased the sole Australian and New Z-aland rights ftom the author. It is iilustra'ed by Bome_ beau'iful sc=iue«, painted specially for this New Zealand tour. The most striking vie* being " Paris by Night," fi\ m tho brush t f the Australian artist J. Little. MiTaylor has also considerably strength-! entd the Company by the impoitation! of two more ladies Miss Muriel Muc - ton and Miss Helen Armitagf, and by the addition of auother gentleman. The Company, as it now s'ands, is ons of the strongest and most artistrc that his visited IVanaki for some considerable time. The Company open t j night with " Nevsr Despair."
