GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE.
TRIENNIAL VALUATION. PEE PBESB ASSOCIATION. Wellington, April 25. The Government Life Insurance Department's triennial valuation, as at 31st December, shows the funds then to have been £3,382,817. After further strengthening the investment fluctuation reserve fund by £22,783, the surplus now distributed to policyholders is £167,933. This represents additions to suits assured of £290,074, as compared wiih a surplus of £126,600 cash, and additions to policies of £220,795 at the previous divisions of profits in 1899. The number if policies in force at 31st December last was 42,406, assuring, with bonus additions, over eleven millions.
