OBJECT OF THE KING'S VISIT. Per Press Association. Beoeived 23,11.59 p.m. London, April 23. King Edward's visit to Paris is partly tbe outcome of a movement in favour of a treaty for perpetuating peace and amity between Britain and France. Mr Thomas Barclay, vice president of the Scottish Society in France, and ex-president of the British Chamber of Commerce in Paris, who is 'ha initiator of the movement, dnjlitr* s chit the two Governments are only awaiting a suf fioient manifestation cf opinion, and adds that all the British Chambers cf Commerce will support an a; bitration treaty, likewise 45 Trades Th ions representing half million tf electors.
