THE PREMIER AT WANGANUI.
ru PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wasganoi, March 23. The Premier arrived in town last •veiling, having journeyed from Stratford to Wbangamomona, and thence via Tangaraknu River to Pipiriki, and on to Warganui. He states the country is looking very we)], and settlers contented. The roads are badly in need of metal, and everything points, he thinks, to the construction of a railway line from Stratford to Mount Egmont, thus securing an unlimited supply of metal, which is r< quired, rot only by all local bodies, but for ballasting the railway lines. The Premier openfl the Fielding Exhibition teatorrow, and the Bulls' (Rangitiki) Bridge on Wednesday, and returns to Wellington the same evening.
