PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Reefton, March 9. At a specially convened meeting, it was unanimously resolved to support the appointment of a National Labour Organisation for the colony.
AUCKLAND FURNITURE DISPUTE. Auckland, March 9. In the furniture dispute, tbe employers confered with Mr Tregear today. They deny a look out, and assert the men were suspended who were unable to earn the full rate. A further conference of three eic-h aside is arranged for to-morrow, Later. Mr Tregear, Secretary of Labcur, had to-day a conference with representatives of some of the largest firms in the furniture trade. He has aW heard the claims of the men and holds a further conference with the employer to-morrow with a view of getting them to appoint three delegates to confer with three representatives of the workers and if possible arrive at a settlement of the difficulty. Received 10, 0.2 a.m. .London, March 9. Forty thousand Lancashire and Cheshire miners are prepared to support the South Waled colliers if they strike for increased wages.
