SUCCESS IN GERMANY AND AMERICA. Per Press Association. Received 6,10 4 p.m. London, March 6. A meeting of the Associated Chambers of Commerce recommended that communication by telephones or ethergrams be established between light ships and lighthouses and tbe shore. Signor Marconi, who was amoDgst the speakers, declared that ethergramic communxition between lighr. ships and lighthouses was working tucceesfully in Germany and America. He emphasise! the fact that a telegram from steamers by Mirconigraph announced thn breakdown of the steamer Pas Dj Calais in the recent gile. Received 6,11.40 p.m. London, March 6. Mr. Gerald Balfour, addressing! the L'ffbott Institution, s:id the difficulties associated with wireless communication between ligh'hou.-es and the coas l ", relating to national defence, rendered a comprehensive plan imperative.
