NBW ZEALAND CANDIDATES, PER PRESS ASSOCIATION, Ohristchur( ji, February 27. The University Senate this morning, receive! repott from tho committee which wus Kit up to deal witu the late Mr. Cecil Rhode*' scholarships. The committee reported that a v scholarship should be made available to fchope students who have already spent three yearn in study at an affiliated .ollege of the New Zealand University ; that candidates shou'd be required to furnish full evideoc > of the poasession »f moral and physical qualification and nl"o of personal popularity. The ReceisCommittee was appointed to confer with the Minister of Education about details neceasiry to give I effect to these resolution'.
