The Marine Bo : rd h.s found Captain Middleton, master t-f the Eurimbla, responsible for the collision with the Wahatipu, and cited him to show cause on March 2nd why his certificate should not be cancelled or mspended. 'I ha Court found that Captain Middleton navigated the EurimbU on the wrong side of the fairway and attempted to pass the Wakatipu starboard to starboard. The mas'er of each vessel did all that was possible to minimise the consecjuances of the collision, PENGUIN AGROUND. FLOATED OFif. Blenheim, February 27. The Penguin which left Picton for Nelson last night at 10 o'clock went ashore on Waihi Point, neir Jackson's Head, about midnight, during a dense fog. The ground she took was covered with kelp, and she got off this morning at 6 o'clock. The ste, m»r is apparently undamaged and has returned to Picton, The Penguin resumed her voyage to Nefson at 11 o'clock this morning. A testimonial for Captain McArtbur was got up by the passengers.
