THE S.S. MANGAPAPA.
From Mr Qailliam, of Govett and Quilliam, solicitors f< r the Taranaki (Jolleries Compang, Limited, we learn I that the second vessel for the above company, t j work the Mokau coal mines, is on her way to New Plymouth. This vessel his been built at Sydney specially for the Mokau trade, and hos been called the Mangapapa, which is the name of the principal mine and one of the survey blocks on the Mokau river. Tbe Mangapapa left Sydney on Friday last and is expected to arrive at the breakwater on Thursday afternoon. She is under the command of Captain Phillipson, and besides full coal bunkers, sha has 130 tots of Newcastle coal on board. Sho is expected to take up the running at an early date after her amva', and • may b* expected to do something to supply tho coal market with Mokau , < coil, which has been in short supply • I lately.
