Madam) Melba. rent vvith a most enthusias'ic r ception at her first concert in tin colony this evening, tbe building being fill-d in every part at prices which must have been a record house for t're colony. The general publi3 crowded the s'reets to get a glimpse of the ilivj, and catch the strains of her voice through the doors. A tremendous ovation followed the singing of the mad scene from Hamlet, and a wealth of floral tributes were bestowed on her. She tang six time;.
