PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Napier, February 8 A well attended meeting of teachers was held here on Saturday, to consider the question of manual and technical instruction in public schools. After considerable discussion, the following resolutions were passed unanimously: —"That fcho teachsrs, while d<airous of introducing the manual and technical subjects into the schools, are satisfied that it is impossible to carry out tha requiremen'a of the Manual and Technical Act without a considerable modification of the present standatd syllabus, " That in order to enable teachers to carry on technical work, the Inspector for the district be given definite power by the Departmeut to accept teohoical work in lieu of class, or additional eubji-cts occupying an equivalent tiaae,"
