DIPCTATION TO ADMIRAL BBAUMONT FEB FBBBB ASSOCIATION Auckland, January 25. ' A deputation from the Royal Naval and Royal Marine Association waited on Admiral Bsaumont on board the Sierra, and diseased the need for the establishment, at tbe principal colonial port?, of naval training thip>, go that the nucleus of a marine population might be formed. Admiral Beaumont eaid he c rdially agreed with the proposal, and would bring tbe subject before tbe proper authorities on bis arrival in England. The admittance cf colonial youths into j the navy, a« agreed upon at the recent! conference of colonial Premiere, would do something to remove the bar which the s'riogent merchant shipping laws of this colony presented to the employmeat of jou'hs on the s-a, but he realised that the establishment of training! ships might be of additional so*-' vie*.
