Con»iderat>le interest was taken in the polling to-day on the subject of "Greater Chris'church," the proposal for «m«lganution of the city with the adjoining boroughs being carried by overwhelming majorities. The figures vera: Christchu'ch, for amalgamation *v 1208, against 79; St. Albans for 428, ■gainst 238; Liuwood for 599, against 145. The Sydenham poll will be taken ob February 4th.
