PER PBIHB AgSOOIATIOK. ! Gisborne, January 15. An inquest was held this afternoon coccemiog the deith of Chules William Jebnsen, who was killed at the railway works. The evidence showed that all pjs<ib!e care had been taken, and a verdict of accidental death wan returned, no blame being attachable tanyone. A rider was added that great credit was due to the authorities for the quick despatch of medical assistance. Dunedin, Jenua<-y 15. An inquest was held on the unknown man who shot himielf in the Sussex Hot.l with a pei rifle. The evidence showed that deceased had net been dunking to any extent, and be appeared quite rational. It wastated by the'police that a country resident had identified the body as tha of George Mcindoe, a farmer at War ruaa, near Clinton. The jury returned a Vtrdict of dea'h from a gunshot wound, self inflated, bu*> there was not sufficient evidence to show whether it was intentional or accidental.
