BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Oouccil was held on Monday. Present: His Worship the Mayor (Mr E. Dockrill), Cr.-". Bt-llringer, Carter, Oollis, Sfohr, Ti'ch, Webster, Brooking, and Lialand.

The Mayor moved that tin Council go into committei to consider loan matter*.

Tenders for the formation of Lemonstreet were receive! from Kyngdon, Berridije and Hay £lB5 (accepted) mil J. Giddy £246. Tenders for Mol gw. rth-streetwere: -Kempand Knyvett £835 (accepted), Kyngdon, Berridge and Hay £950.

It was decided to do the work at Pwwderham-street Eist by day labour, no tender being cewpted. The Engineer, Mr Spencer, sub mit'ed his repjrt on what be cons.dered the mist suitable bridge over the Henui, but it was decided to await the separa'e teport of Mr Fulon, who had Visited the spot and conferred wih the Borough advisers.
